Comment
The hotel is poorly sound insulated (as are many other hotels)and it was quite noisy at certain times but generally quiet when it mattered - overnight. There were dogs in some rooms and they were left alone at times when they barked and set each other off.

A good location, only 10 min walk to either the sea front or Las Ramblas.
Choose walk to Las Rambles carefully to avoid Red Light District. Beware of pickpockets & bag snatchers.
Top Tip
Best way to see city on Blue then Red city bus tours.
Approx 2 hours duration each.

Comment
We arrived very late at the hotel, 3am, and the night porter checked us into our rooms with no troubles. The rooms were very clean and in good decorative state. The bathroom/shower was excellent.
The location was my only concern, although it only took 10/15 minutes to walk to the main old town street the actual area of the hotel was quite run down. As the hotel is only a base for our trip it did not really cause us any problems.
Top Tip
Huge tip for any one visiting Barcelona is to make full use of the undeground metro. Vey cheap (1.3 euro for a single trip anywhere) and very easy to use. Saves on walking all day and is much cheaper than the tourist bus.
