Ths hotel was just amazing - two blocks from the craziness of Las Ramblas and in the loveliest area for food, great shopping and watching Barcelona life. The hotel is beautiful and wonderfully classic but with all the modern features you could want. Somehow we'd been upgraded to a suite at no extra charge - it was perfect. Concierge service was also very good.
Top Tip
The Bus Turistic route is only one street away - touristy, I know, but it's such a great way to get an overview of and around a new city.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Great Location, friendly staff, nice room and above average breakfast. The room was well laid out and the provision extras was a nice little touch.
Top Tip
Loved Barcelona. Plenty to do and see and transport services from airport and metro etc excellent for getting around. Eating out howeever was probably the low point. Food was expensive and pretty ordinary. Most restaurants closed from 4pm until 8.30/9pm whichi might suit locals but unfortunately didn't suit us.

Calderon is located on the posh Rambla de Catalunya, 3 mins from the main square & the somewhat overrated La Rambla. This meant you get lots of hotel for your money without having to hear the stag do parties outside. Plus better position to see the best Gaudi sights. Nice, clean rooms, good breakfast, though waiter service a little hap-hazard.
Top Tip
Quatre Gats Restaurant - fantastic atmosphere, food & Picasso's local hang-out.
All things Gaudi.
La Rambla only needs one walk down to realise there are much better sights and avoid the restaurants that line the road. Search round the back streets to find many jewels in cuisine.

Spent 4 nights at Easter and found the Hotel to be excellent. The Right location for exploring the centre of Barcelona and close to all the "In" places.

so much to see and do excellent restaurant just down to the left of hotel we spent 4 days ther fabalous city gaudi was something else

Staff friendly and helpful Great city views from roof but to cold to use pool while we were there Excellent position for exploring Will use hotel again
