Great location. Near Ramblas but not on it so quiet at night. We had a private terrace with our room on 5th floor, nice for pre-dinner drinks in the evening. Hotel with a bit of character, Clean, rooms not huge but big enough and v comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Good value for money.

Top Tip

Cerveseria Catalana, C/ Mallorca 236 great for tapas. Matsuri, Placa Regomir is nice asian/ Thai restaurant with good food and not expensive.

Close to the Universitat Metro, well placed for all the sites and La Rambla but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful (relatively!) at night. Bathroom only big enough for one at a time, but that's a minor inconvenience. The hotel offers free safe facilities for a 25 euro refundable deposit. Breakfast on the patio area offers a relaxed start to the day. Staff were English-speaking, friendly and helpful. We'd definitely choose to stay here again.

Top Tip

Don't make the mistake we did of going to the University Zone stop at the end of the line instead of the more central Universitat stop close to the hotel. The Celler tapas bar at the top of the Tallers street near the Metro offers good food and reasonable prices with excellent service.

We had a really good stay at the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was the work outside the hotel meant that workmen started work early in the morning and there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the drains in to our room which was immediately above the work. However this was only on the last day of our stay and we were checking out anyway.

Top Tip

Barcelona is an amazing city- clean and friendly with a great metro system which I would recommend for getting about. The Sagrada Familia is an absolute must see but be careful of pickpockets- one of our party had her wallet taken there. Also Parc Guiel is a great visit.

lovely hotel very central for everything, staff polite but not particularly helpful or friendly.area around hotel seems a bit seedy although it was safe and popular enough.good noodle bar round the corner, handy to catch cabs at placa universtat minutes away, very close to las ramblas.
