Comment
The rooms are very small but clean. The hotel seems a bit less modern than the internet photos would indicate. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful though.
Top Tip
Shopping is good. We found Spanish cuisine to be very strange but when in Rome!

I think it's a pity that snacks (eg sandwiches) are not available in the bar as it means that if you want any food you are forced to go out in the evenings - not always a very practical option in a city like Barcelona if a female is travelling alone. It didn't apply in my case this time as I was with others but it could have and I think it's something people should be aware of.

Top Tip
La Concha restaurant - exellent food.
Metro is good for visiting various sights - buy one day ticket 5.25.euro.

Comment
Perfectly situated in the Gothic Quarter with La Ramblas a mere 10 muinute stroll in one direction and Del Borne in the other. Although in the heart of this bustling area was slightly noisy it was not an issue for a restful sleep. Highly recommended.
Top Tip
Taxidermista in the Placa de Riall, loads of lovely wee restaurants and tapas bars down Argenteria and in around the Santa Maria del Mar.

We were very impressed with the very helpful staff and with the clenliness and facilities at the hotel. The only problem we had was our room was right beside the lift and this was used constantly until 2.15am, and started again at 5.10am - you will note it kept me awake most of the night! The only other comment was the room didn't have any sort of view - the window looked out on to a very close concrete wall!!

Good location, central without being too noisey. Second time I have stayed here - was expecting it to have been renovated but no signs - this does not mean it needs it - maybe it is just a lower 4 star not a upper 4 star
Top Tip
If flying out of Barcelona (Girona) , Ryan Air, be VERY careful not to leave any valuables in the checked in luggage. Suspect they get scanned then dipped. Friend lost a digital camera, another had his bag opened but the valuable was worthless and left. My bag with no valuables was not opened
