The hotel is located 3 blocks north of the Plaza Francesc Macia (a major plaza on the Avenida Diagonal). It is just over 2 miles from Plaza catalunya, the ramblas and the Gothic quarter. While the hotel is in the city centre of Barcelona most tourist visitors will want to be in the Ramblas area which can be reached by FGC train from station Muntaner just 300 meters from the hotel. The Barcelona International airport is aprox 15 minutes drive by taxi.

The Ac Irla Hotel is modern, purpose-built property. As it’s a small hotel, with only 36 guestrooms, the lobby is also quite compact. The guestrooms themselves feature modern décor and dark wooden furniture. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the bright, welcoming breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor. Hotel guests can also make use of the library or work out in the small fitness centre. While the property does not have its own restaurant there are a good selection of places to eat nearby. Being small, the hotel offers guests good individual service, though it must be said that the location is not as close to the Ramblas as many would like to be.
