Opened in 1992 to coincide with the Barcelona Olympics and restored in 2000, the Abbot Hotel is housed in a tall, narrow brownstone building. The interior features smart contemporary furniture, designer features and ultramodern touches. The 42 air-conditioned guestrooms feature light decor in natural colours with patterned fabrics and modern wood furnishings. They are clean and well maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the bright, welcoming breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor. There’s also a small but comfortable and well decorated cafeteria/snack bar.
